Cost per ticket: $145.00

About class

The color series on explorations of color families in natural dyeing is designed to give students a more intimate experience with a single color when exploring pigments produced and sourced from nature. Class will include an introduction to the yarn preparation process including winding skeins, washing and mordanting. We will discuss where dye materials can be harvested or sourced commercially and how to determine quantities required based on your fiber weights.

All skeins will be prepared for you to explore the colors in a variety of fibers and weights!

Yellow Dyes

In the explorations of yellow dyes, we will be exploring the use of a range of naturally derived pigments such as marigolds, Osage orange and weld. Join us for a day of making and learning in our dye studio on the scenic Ridge.
