Weaving with the Wave Shuttle

Dates: July 21, 2023 - July 21, 2023

Cost per ticket: $125.00

About Class

Many of us are attracted to weaving for the strong patterning, repetitious elements through the warping and the execution. However, there are many who enjoy breaking through some of the more restrictive constraints that weaving can embody and find ways to embrace the more organic side of creative weaving.

In this course Sara will introduce student to a weaver’s tool sure to provoke some creative inspiration. Students will not only be introduced to how use a Wave Shuttle during their weaving, but given some helpful suggestions for materials, recommended applications or uses and much more! Students will be working on pre-warped looms with simple dark valued warps. Students are strongly encouraged to bring yarns from their own stash to discuss their suitability to their project and work with them while here in the studio. If you don’t have any stash that you want to use, you will have access to all studio stock of novelty yarns. This is a wonderful class for students who are looking to step slightly outside of their comfort zone and try something new to add to their weaving repertoire.

All weaving materials are included with tuition, but not shuttles.
