Dates: October 29 - November 1
Cost per ticket: $425.00
We have had many requests for a class that would help an individual better understand how supplementary warps work and if a double back beam is needed to weave them. Well, here is the class for you and you’re going to weave a beautiful shawl too!
Each student will be helped to select the material and design a ground warp and then a supplementary warp to blend with it. You will learn how to warp the loom so that the supplementary warp is tensioned separately from the ground warp using simple items that are easily obtainable. Shawls will average 24″ x 85″ and resemble the shawls that many of the well-known weavers display in galleries and upscale craft shows.
Students are responsible for their own materials for the shawl. They can purchase items from our shop or bring them from their stash.
All classes run 9am - 5pm unless otherwise indicated in the description above.
For class dates that are full, please feel free to call us here at the studio and have your name place on the wait list.
