Many of you have asked for a Warpface workshop based on the type of rugs that we see featured in our favorite Handwoven and Weavers magazines. Rep Weave is translated from Ripsmatta, meaning warp face pattern weaves. During this workshop, students will choose from several patterns provided utilizing as little as 2 and up to 8 harnesses, based on your interest. Then we will choose colors of your liking to create one of a kind runners you will love. Students will learn how to calculate for these dense, warped faced structure and how to apply your knowledge to a wide range of fabrics and yarn choices. Finishing techniques will be discussed and compare how they differ from other more balanced weave structures.
All materials are included with your tuition.
All classes run 9am - 5pm unless otherwise indicated in the description above.
For class dates that are full, please feel free to call us here at the studio and have your name place on the wait list.
