For many weavers, the ease of using a modern loom with the capability to simply depress a treadle to create weave structures can be wonderfully accessible and liberating. But many ancient weavers laid the foundations for our modern multi-shaft weaving ability by using techniques such as tablet weaving to create fantastically complex weave structures with the most primitive and compact looms. In this class, students will be introduced to basic tablet weaving including warping instructions, recommended materials, reading of weaving drafts, simple variations and applications. This course is perfect for both those with no weaving experience or for those with years of weaving experience under their belt.
Tuition includes all materials for class and tools to take home with you.
All classes run 9am - 5pm unless otherwise indicated in the description above.
