Do you know the Blending Board?

Dates: May 6, 2021 - May 6, 2021

Cost per ticket: $145.00

About class

Spinners and felters marvel at the beauty of custom made rolags made on the blending board. Join us for a day of fun exploring Red Stone Glen’s stash of fiber to create one of a kind fiber ready for spinning or felting. Students may bring their own blending boards or reserve one of ours for class use. Instruction will include how-to demonstrations on how to set-up, choosing the right fibers for your projects, interesting technique variations, tips and tricks, and finally the cleaning and care of your board. Take a day to create and get out of that box you’ve been hanging out in.

“The blending board is the perfect tool for creating exciting, multi-colored rolags for spinning, or batts for felting, and it’s lots of fun to use. It differs from other carding tools in that it allows you to ‘paint’ with fibre over a large, flat area of carding cloth to create controlled layers of fibre.” -Ashford Wheels & Looms
