Dates: November 1 - November 2

Cost per ticket: $285.00

About Class

This is the workshop for those who collect old kimono pieces or other precious bits of fabric from India, China or anywhere in the world—including beloved garments from their closets or thrift stores. Students will learn how to create whole cloth from their pieces of treasured fabric by combining it with more contemporary fabrics one pattern piece at a time. Students should come with their collection of fabric treasures, a few coordinating fabrics that they would like to use and a pattern or two that they like. Instructor can suggest patterns that work well for this technique. In class, students create a with a plan on how to combine their fabrics and a blueprint for ‘what goes where’ and will begin cutting and sewing their new cloth for their
chosen garment.

Some sewing experience required.
