Towel Series- Twill Towels

Dates: April 19, 2022 - April 22, 2022

Cost per ticket: $485.00

About Class

This is the first in the Towels Series within 6 volumes. The thought behind these classes is to incorporate ways for students to learn more about weave structures and patterning along with projects that everyone loves to weave and use. The series consists of Towels Vol 1- The Twills, Vol 2- Plain Weave Structures, Vol 3- Lacey Weaves, Vol 4- Shadow Weaves, Vol 5 -Textures and lastly Vol 6- Fibonacci. Be sure to check the class schedule and over the next several years you could end up with 4 to 5 dozen interesting and educational towels.

The first in a series of towel classes, Towels Vol. 1 – The Twills, will explore twills and twill variations. We will have a dozen warps set up to weave. You will learn about straight twill, point twill, rosepath, M’s & W’s, turned twills, undulating twills, herringbone, broken twill and twills on 4 and 8 shaft looms. During the 4 day class students will weave in a round robin format so that at the end of the class you should have 12 different towels to take home and finish. You’ll also have an opportunity to try different types and sizes of thread.
