The Fibonacci series is a mathematical marvel that was discovered in the 15th century by mathematician Fibonacci. This series of numbers is also known as the Golden Ratio and has been used by designers for years to help achieve the perfect balance or most pleasing look to their creative works. Weavers also use this series and we would like to show you how to apply the numbered sequence to create one of a kind towels.

In this 4 day workshop, you will weave dish towels using a variety of different weave structures using the Fibonacci theory. You’ll have an opportunity to work on different looms pre-warped in a round robin setting with different color options. Each student will be able to explore weave structures such as Plain Weave, Twill, Turned Twill Lace Weaves and other structures that incorporate color and weave effects. The use of color will also play a big part in the study of this fascinating design tool and help create beautiful shades.

All materials included with tuition.
