Already taken a basic weaving class, but having problems when it comes time to warp the loom? You want to take on a complex multi shaft project but need guidance? This class we can help you feel confident and be there for any help! Warping the loom is not as difficult as it sometimes seems, and we’ll let you in on our secrets and short cuts in this week of fun. The class will cover warp planning, choice of threads, setts and treadling. You may bring yarns from your stash at home or purchase materials from our store for your project needs. This class is what you make of it!
This warp and weave week course is only 4 days of instruction/help from Tom and Sara. Wednesday is the PA State Farm Show fleece to shawl/sheep to shawl competitions where Tom, Sara and part of the class will be part of the crew for the day. You are welcomed to stay at The Glen and weave away or you can take a short trip to see all the action!
All classes run 9am - 5pm unless otherwise indicated in the description above.

Tom Knisely has made his career from his interest and love of textiles from around the world. Tom has been studying, collecting, and teaching others about weaving and spinning for more than four decades.
