Favored and admired for it’s classic appearance, Tom’s interpretation of a checked wool rug has been popular among weavers both new and experienced in rug making. In this course students will be guided through the planning processes of designing a rug of 100% wool, both warp and weft. Using two contrasting colors and weaving in a twill pattern students will master new skills such as squaring blocks, the use of multi-strand wefts and so many more great tips n’ tricks from Tom. Materials are not included with your tuition but available for purchase.
All classes run 9am - 5pm unless otherwise indicated in the description above.

This class's instructor
Tom Knisely has made his career from his interest and love of textiles from around the world. Tom has been studying, collecting, and teaching others about weaving and spinning for more than four decades.
