This stunning shawl is a variation of the quesquimitl that is worn throughout Central America. We think our version is the Queen of Shawls. The V-shape in the back of the shawl is the result of weaving the warp ends of one section into the warp of another still on the loom. Class begins with warp planning, choosing yarns, and warping a loom for your shawl. The rest of your time will be devoted to learning how to effectively weave your shawl and the proper finishing techniques.
Materials are not included with tuition. You may use your own materials or purchase yarns here at the studio.
All classes run 9am - 5pm unless otherwise indicated in the description above.
For class dates that are full, please feel free to call us here at the studio and have your name place on the wait list.
