Nancy Farr Benigni studied Fiber Art at Kent State University, and has been weaving since college days. She has also worked in other media, including silkscreen and batik. She has worked extensively with dyes, both synthetic and natural, including organic indigo.
Nancy works full time in her home studio and has concentrated most recently on botanical contact printing. She studied with Lotta Helleberg in a workshop in Charlottesville, VA, and has taught eco printing at the Mid Atlantic Fiber Conference and at Red Stone Glen Fiber Art Center. Her work has been exhibited at The Painting Center in Chelsea, NY, and at Kent State University. She has also been a contributing designer for the Philadelphia Trunk Show.
