Painted Warps for the Rigid Heddle

About class

Expand your knowledge base for using plain weave on the rigid heddle loom in a new and painterly application! In this class you will paint a pre-wound warp and then weave it into a one-of-a kind scarf. The scarf will emulate a movement and organic quality not easily achieved in typical plain weave fabrics using solid or variegated yarns. Students are encouraged to bring their own loom that will accommodate at least an 8” wide scarf, and a 12-dent reed. Please notify us upon registration if you need to borrow a loom. All materials included in tuition.
