Lecture Series- Plying Techniques for All Applications

Dates: March 28, 2022 - March 28, 2022

Cost per ticket: $45.00

About Class

In this 2-hours lecture we will work to look beyond the utilitarian purpose of plying to create strength and balance in our handspun yarn, to the more exotic applications that serve a more aesthetic purpose. During our time together we will be discussing and demonstrating many areas in which we can create variations within the plying process alone to create threads that create specific color patterning, texture patterning, optical illusions, dye resists and so much more. During this lecture we will be demonstrating on a few spinning wheels and their examining their modern engineering marvels and accessories to make the plying process easier. This lecture is designed to educate but above all else inspire you to take your spinning to the next level!

This is a 2 hour online lecture starting at 6:00PM.
