Color and Weave for the Rigid Heddle
Dates: March 29 - March 30
Cost per ticket: $285.00
About class
This workshop highlights some of the amazing visual effects one can achieve using two contrasting colors in plain weave on the rigid heddle loom. Students have the opportunity to warp their looms using 3/2 Perle cotton in contrasting colors. In this intermediate level class students will expand their knowledge of using two shuttles at the same time, the treatment of selvedge edges while using two shuttles, and will receive instruction on following color and weave patterns that utilize odd number of threads and alternating colors. Students will gain new understanding for warping their looms to create these uniquely striped patterns and for planing their own color and weave projects in the future.
All materials included with tuition.
