After creating several businesses in the shoe and jewelry industries, Roxanne retired for several months, but then was offered a teaching position in NYC at Pratt Institute. Originally her main class was Textiles. It entailed every issue possible on the subject; testing, identifying, history, legal, types of fibers, working with and identifying types of fabrics, techniques such as felting, weaving & knitting of fabrics, dyeing and so many more aspects of textiles in this extensive course. Other classes included construction, knit, cut and sew, Advanced Textiles/Surface Design, and Advanced Textiles/ Dyeing. However after 9 years, Roxanne wanted to create a textile center closer to home and to Kraemer Textiles (a yarn manufacturer located in Nazareth) Locating a street accessible space that was in the center of town- near cafes, ice cream shop, boutiques, coffee shop and only 2 blocks to Kraemer outlet shop became available.
