Triaxial and Hex Weaves

About class

Challenge yourself as a weaver to take your weaving from 2 axis intersections to the next level. This introductory class will give students a basic understand of 3 axis weaving, referred to as hex or triaxial weaving. This ancient form of weaving will be looked at in its most simplified form to gain a better understanding of how the weaver intersects the materials in a twill weave from three points of intersection. Don’t let the description make your head spin, this one day course will be fun as we discuss modern applications, recommended materials and more! Course includes all materials needed to complete a simple wall hanging.
