Lesser Known Weave Structures

About class

This workshop is designed to give you an opportunity to weave samples of structures that are not commonly used but are brought up from time to time in conversations or read about in older books and manuscripts. Some of the structures that you will weave are Dimity, M’s and O’s, Half Satin, Bergman, Quigley, Lampas and Beiderwand, Tied Lithuanian, Diversified Plain Weave and some of the works of Dr. Bateman. You will be shown how the weave structure works and how several weave structures can be threaded to a single common profile draft. The workshop is designed to work in a round robin format on prewarped looms. All the samples will be threaded using commonly found threads. All materials included with tuition.
