Fiberworks 201 for 8 Shafts or more

About class

This is for the weaver who has acquired an eight shaft loom and wants to weave pattern designs in weave structures such as summer and winter, turned twill, double weave, point twill or star work weave. You will explore the threading systems and treadling variations. You will review the basics of creating a drawdown in Fiberworks and use them to create your designs. You will design a project using a block design for the main pattern and the borders. You will have the opportunity to take a weave structures and use the block design for your pattern. This class is appropriate for the more experienced weavers who want to understand how to create pattern and vary their weave structure.

Student requirements: each student must bring a laptop to class with a downloaded student version of Fiberworks. Directions concerning downloading the student version will be supplied by the teacher.
